Description:
At 4km from Vallon Pont d'Arc and at 2km from Lagorce you will find le MAS de PARALOUP situated in the sunniest part of the Ardèche between vineyards, lavender fields and olive orchards. This Provencal Mas originated in the 18th century, built during the golden days of silkworm growing, and later converted into a wine domain, breaths a cosy en warm atmosphere. Enjoy the calmness and beauty of the 4 Gîtes tastefully renovated. Unforgettable tours across the southern Ardèche and its maze of rivers. Swimming and relaxing under the Mediterranean sun at only 4km from the famous Gorges de l'Ardèche.

Surrounded by such a good atmosphere and so many sights you will hardly be able to resist taking the car now an then, although you are staying at a magnificent location!

  Leisure Activities:
In a mosaic-like landscape between the Provence, the Cevennes and the Massif Central you will find:
• ; A real paradise for aquatic sports. Wild water canoeing (all levels), rafting, fishing and swimming are possible in the breath-taking Gorges de l'Ardèche at only 4km or the Ibie (paddling) which is ideal for small children.
• Hiking: starting directly from the Mas, many ancient tracks and paths from the Roman period criss-crossing a charming landscape of vine terraces, in the heart of a breathtaking wild nature.
• Cycling and MB-sports between Ardèche and Cevennes.
• 300 prehistoric caves, among which the famous "Grotte Chauvet", with the oldest rock paintings in Europe.
• Horse riding. Many centers in the direct area, however our favourite, "La Loubière" lies at 6km and offers very nice course.
• Tennis court at Lagorce.

  Children facilities:
• Between the plum trees from my grandfather's era is a playground with among other things a climbing- rope, a swing and a slide.
• Jeu-de-boules alley for all ages.
• Sandpit.

  Shops:
• Lagorce, 5mn by car and 30mn by foot offers a small grocery shop with fresh French bread, croissants and newspapers! 2 restaurants and several wine caves.
• Vallon Pont d'Arc, 15mn by car or 1 hour by foot offers several bakeries, news agents (international press available), cafés, doctors, several restaurants, supermarkets and wines caves.

  Wine Cellars:
• At 5 to 15 minutes by car you will find a number of vineyards in an authentic scenery who have been in the family for ages handed over from father to son. The wine-growers will be happy to receive you and you will find a large assortment of wine which is raised with passion and with respect for the tradition.

  Excursions in the Provence and Mediterranean region:
Across beautiful sceneries, you reach impressing sites such as Avignon, the Pont du Gard, Nîmes and Uzès (distance about 1h30 by car) or Les Beaux, Arles, Aix, St Rémy and Montpellier (distance about 2h30).
• You can be at the beach at 10 a.m. if you leave the house at 8! And every time you return to a haven of peace.

  Accommodation information:
• The Mas is available from march till october for a minimale period of 2 weeks in July/August.
• Our rentals stretch from Saturday 4 PM to Saturday 10 AM.
• Water and electricity are included in the rental price during June, july, august en september, but to be paid during off saison separately at the end of the rental period.
• Please bring your bed-linen.
• Final cleaning to be done by holidaymakers themselves.
• Children cot, high chair, bath-tub baby available on request.
• Security deposit at € 200,-/Gîte.
• Accommodation tax per person and per night: 0,55 €.
• Pets are only admitted if it has been agreed beforehand, and against payment of 6 € per day. They must be on a leash at all times, respect hygiene rules and not bother other guests.
